  146. Republican and Observer, 26 April, 1888 page 8, col. 4. Matrimonial. Davis-Harris Nothing is more enjoyable and agreeable than a quiet and well arranged wedding. Such was the case of two of Richland county's young people, which took place at the residence of the bride's parents, Mr. And Mrs. M.C. Davis, in the town of Marshall, March 29, at twelve o'clock. The contracting parties were Mr. Arland S. Harris and Miss Ida R.M. Davis. They entered the parlor and were united as one by Elder A.J. Hood, of Muscoda, in the presence of quite a number of friends. After the ceremony we all proceeded to the dining room where the table was groaning under its heavy weight of goodies, and soon helped to relieve it of its burden. Toward evening the young people began to gather in; supper was served, with oysters, of which over seventy persons partook. The bride was the recipient of many useful and valuable presents. We all departed for our homes at a late hour feeling we had a very enjoyable time.
